Augustine M. Manadan, M.D., is Professor of Medicine at Rush Medical College and current Chairman of Rheumatology at Cook County Hospital. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Akron and an M.D. from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He trained in both internal medicine and rheumatology at the Rush University Medical Center. He is an active member of the American College of Rheumatology. He has served in many leadership, administrative, clinical, research, and educational roles during his career. He presents at medical grand rounds and internal medicine resident conferences. His abstracts have been presented at numerous scientific conferences. He is actively mentoring house staff in research projects.
Dr Manadan’s research work has been published in numerous peer reviewed journals including the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Open, American Journal of Therapeutics, American Journal of Medicine Open, Clinical Experimental Rheumatology, Clinical Infectious Disease, Current Opinion in Rheumatology, Journal of Rheumatology, Journal of Clinical Rheumatology, Journal of Arthroscopy and Joint Surgery, New England Journal of Medicine, Open Rheumatology Journal, and Seminars in Arthritis & Rheumatism. His current work is focused on analysis of large national databases.
